She has lost her words

by Fighter (Ariane L.)   Feb 16, 2006

As I stare at the blank piece of paper,
I find no words to fill its emptiness.

The poet has lost her words,
She cannot explain what is happening.

In the past, she would write the pain away.
Poetry was her escape.

She used to write the past away,
Yet, there is no more sadness to express.

Her ink seems to have faded.
She has nothing left to add.

She has no more pain to wash away.
She has no more anger raging within.

She no longer seems to be void of emotion,
For she has finally torn down her brick wall.

It's hard to explain,
But the poet is at a loss of words.

The fire that used to burn within
Has finally been extinguished.
By love.
By hope.
By happiness.

For the first time in years,
The poet is at a loss of words.

She has no more pain to bleed from the pen,
For her ink has finally faded...

*i'm not leaving the site. i'm just not going to write many sad poems anymore, for the pain is no longer present.
