I walk alone

by Abena   Feb 28, 2006

I walk alone on this empty street
sometimes the sun spangles and i feel alive

Inside i feel terror of the dusk begin outside
i've cried so much tears refuse to flow

I proceed eveything with no ambition
I sit still observing the deeds that revovles around me
the only element that allows my presence is my shadow

its come as no surprise to hear my own
voice break into a tear,
released like water

The night draws close, allowing me to reach towards a hatch that opens on a draining yet endless sky
to fall or fly?

The choice was never mine

Very good poem abena, full or mystery and heartfelt emotions, you wrote this well and though there is room for improvement in your writing I am sure you have made a good start
