Silhouette Of A Broken Line

A heart lost deep within
Draped with linens and lace
Once so lively with color and emotions
Now painted grey and black
A silhouette of a broken line drawn down the middle
Seen in the background of the picture
Stitches sewn in between the lines
Footsteps engraved in the depths
From those of the past
Faces fading in the distant
Blood bleeding through the seams
Seeping out of the surface beholding the image
Dripping amid the paper and pen
Writing of the past, of the friends, of the family
Writing of the love, of the hatred, of the regret
Writing of the memories, of the regrets, of the lessons
They come together in time, sink into the seams of the heart
Get lost within the silhouette
Tied along with the separated pieces
A knife traces the outlines of the beating heart
Feel the trance beat booming from the membrane concealing the prize
A hand reaches in and grasps it
Squeezes it in the deadly grip
A velvet box lies in the corner
Highlighted crimson red with drops of tears
A heart captured forever, never escaping
The laughs they are excruciating
The tears they are falling
Never ending
