Something About The Rain

by Kaylee   Mar 25, 2006

Based on the Kenny Chesney song: There's Something Sexy About The Rain.
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

There is something beautiful
About the rain falling on the shore.
The beaches yearning for the
touch of magic streaming to earth.

Something sexy about walking
With our feet in the sand, leaving
Footprints showing where we're
Going and where we've been.

There is something
Wonderful about the
kiss of water on your lips.

Droplets caressing every
Inch of your skin and
Leaving a trail on your hands.

Shivering beneath a
Curtain waterfall just for
You and me, take me close.

Never remove me from
Your warm embrace.
Something sexy about the rain.

Spinning around beneath
Water makes me want to
Be innocent once again.

Having nothing to worry
About except making a
Puddle to splash in.

Seeing people running for
Cover, I giggle because the
Secret of this I know.

There's something exciting
About the rain and how
It brings us closer.

Music playing from the beads
Touching the wooden pier.

Memories of seagulls flying
Needing another friend.

Lonely.

Screaming for somebody to hold
Them like you are holding me.
Something sexy about the rain.

Now THIS is how you base a poem on a song!

You only used the line "something sexy about the rain" a couple times and brnached off in a whole different directon than Kenny did in his song.

    Excellent job!

    I especially like this part:
    Spinning around beneath
    Water makes me want to
    Be innocent once again.

    Very pure and sweet.
