X Who I Was and Who I am

It's only taken these few years
To turn my life upside down
And I've shed many more tears
Since the day you came to town.

I used to be a happy sight
I used to laugh and play
Now I sit night after night
Reflecting on that fateful day

I would be out in the sun
Playing until the moonlight came
Now I've become undone
I feel like I'm turning insane

You stabbed my heart and made a tear
You hung me from the tattered rope
You went to hell and I followed you there
And now I've lost all hope

You wrapped my heart in love sublime
You told me stories, and made me smile
When I'm with you, you stop the time
So I can enjoy you for a while

But take the time, and a step back
And take a look at all my pain
And see your forced, strong impact
Whenever I see your face again

    I absolutely love it! You can feel your emotions so well....

    "You stabbed my heart and made a tear
    You hung me from the tattered rope
    You went to hell and I followed you there
    And now I've lost all hope"

    those lines are amazing, my heart just sank when I read them and made me feel what you were/are going through.

    Good poem, I liked your use of vocab, many people don't know what sublime is, also goo rhyme scheme
