What happened?

You used to be there for me
No matter what, I had you
You would listen to every word I said
As I'd tell you what I had gone through

You would comfort me
By whispering in my ear
The three special words
That everyone longs to hear

You would tell me
That it would all be okay
You said it was in the past
And I had to focus on today

You told me how much
I truly meant to you
And you told me
That your love for me was true

But now you're gone
And I pretend that I'm fine
When in reality
I'm wishing you were mine

I wish I knew what went wrong
To ruin what we had
What made our relationship
Quickly turn bad?
