Tonight...

by David Marshall   Apr 13, 2006

I shed my skin,
releasing my rage.
no longer how I've been,
love trapped in a cage.

I will give,
what I receive.
for every moment I live,
another part of me will leave.

I gave you all my grace,
soul begins to crack.
You threw it in my face,
now I throw back.

The pain burns,
this heart of pyro.
Tonight I change,
tonight I cry so.

Tonight I bring hell,
look what you've done.
The old me has fell,
blinded by the sun.

Maybe someday,
you will know.
I wont be OK,
because I love you so.

Tonight I'm not the same,
me you never knew.
maybe your to blame,
but I'll still love you.

Another great poem but your poems are a bit 'samey', try experimenting with your talent by applying it to different types of poems ie, a different structure or rhyming pattern and a different topic, im sure the result would be amazing! good luck xx
