The End of Time

by Ren   Apr 16, 2006

Warning of sorrowful times,
Speaking for the dead,
What I have to say,
Pierces the ears of others,
And what I must see,
Makes them run away,
For as I walk these streets,
Like a poor mime,
I will tell you about,
The End of Time...

This world was a place of peace,
And prospering lives,
The air was filled with cleansing breaths,
And the water was pure and fine.
Trees swayed gently in the mild winds,
Homes were the forest and lush earth,
Until mankind took a stance,
And the birth of disaster and fear changed us all...

Greed and poor decisions made the world fall.

Grand Cities were built,
On the grounds of once lush trees and earth,
Roads and streets were made for cars to stroll,
Polluting the air and making it unbearable.

Technology swooned us,
New clothes and fashion designs took their toll,
Businesses grew and competition was to start,
Making people here to be...

Rude...
Mean...
Selfish...

Devils without a heart.

We decided to hurt and kill others,
Because they were different,
And caused wars to start.
Cruel ways infected the minds of children,
Blurring the boundaries of what was sane,
Drama and hate expanded through the world,
And people now think its Okay...

All of this,
Adds up to nothing else,
But TODAY.

We took what we were given and blessed with,
And turned it into a rotting dump,
We took advantage of having a place to live,
And everything that we once had is scarce,
Like the lush trees,
And the clean, untainted air.

Minds are dirty and cruel,
Causing an unsettling duel.

So I walk the living and speak this truth,
So that one day,
Maybe we can all step out of the darkness,
And let our world shine,
Because if not,
Then what will happen?

The End Of Time...
