Perfectly Imperfect

by Ren   Mar 16, 2018

She was

like every promise
he ever made-

but has learned how to put herself
back together again

…piece by piece…

until the day
she can look into the mirror
and recognize her own reflection.

I watch her see herself for the first time…

and she is beautiful.

but beautiful.

I see a mystery hidden here, which is glorifying this poem. A very wonderful work, written cunningly.

I think a person's scars often become the beauty that we all see.
After pain we heal, becoming more resilient, stepping with wary steps until a helping hand shows us how to find courage and trust.

    All the best. X
