Just the Memories....

Scrap booking our memories into a book of papers
Pasting photos and quotes here and there
Good times flowing through my aching head
And as I sit in the passenger seat
Hair waving out the window at passerbys
I will look at each and every one of them
A reminder trickling down my porcelain cheeks
Remembering the place I came from
And all the people I once knew and loved
Lives in front of the cameras
Spotlight on our every move
The laughs we shared,
The tears we dealt with,
The all nighters that we attempted to pull through.
The beers we drank,
The fights we had,
The talks we shared.
They all show in our eyes,
In our poises,
In our smiles,
And in our tears.
The heart ache and the love,
The innocence and the mistakes,
The regrets and the tears,
The soberness and the hangovers,
And the friendships lost in time
So I guess goodbyes really are forever,
And I love you's really do mean bull s hit
And duct tape really doesn't heal broken hearts,
And alcohol doesn't cure pain,
And feeling sorry for yourself really does get you no where.
And in this good-bye, I have matured
And I will continue to mature,
I will chase my shattered dreams,
Rebuild all of these broken down walls,
Repair this worn down onyx heart
And remember all of you in the memories that we shared.
