A Hidden Angel.

There's an angel sitting in the corner.
Silhouetted against the soft ashen light
As she sits with her arms crossed over her chest
One leg crossed over the other one
And tears lightly fall upon her sallow dress
En laced in linen and pearls
She hides behind the perfect blond curls
Make-up smearing down her sweet porcelain face.
A faded halo drifting over her head
A broken harp leaning against her leg
Bleeding fingertips lightly plucking the broken strings.
Everyone around her dancing the night away
Not ever once noticing the girl in the corner
Crying her pain away
Lost within her own pathetic excuses on the way that she is
Nobody cares, and nobody wants to care.
She is lost in this world,
Alone and afraid
But if you take a closer look at her
You will see her, lost behind the fake smile
Black hair hiding her crystal eyes
And the tears that she cries, encrusting to her rosy cheeks
As she drowns in sorrow of the world
Lost within superficial realities.
