The Loner

Eyes filled with regret,
Sadness has got a hold of another victim,
Screaming for her that I am here,
Yet she listens to none.

They say that the worst feeling one may experience,
Is when you lose something you truly treasure,
But to be all alone with no one to care for you,
That is a pain that does not reside in this world.

Do you think that being alone is the same as being lonely?
Do you think that the world in a loner's eye is just filled with sadness?
You say that you are lonely,
But she has been there.

It is the same as being to hell and back,
A world filled with darkness and hatred,
But what is the worst feeling of all,
Are the cold eyes that a person gets,

Eyes that pierce through one's soul,
She told me how it felt but I could not comprehend,
How can a person's eye be that cruel?
Tell I saw her once walking down the street.

People gave her freighting eyes,
I felt a sadness that runs deeper than any before,
For wherever she goes,
There are cold stares behind her back.

And yet she survives,
And you say you're lonely,
Please know what you speak of,
You're alone, but not lonely

*dedication to all those people who say they're lonely because they do not have friends or they broke up with their significant other, at least you found someone... I was walking down the street and I saw this girl, but what struck me was how people around her reacted, frightening cold eyes that I myself started crying, for one look like that bothers me, but to have everyone look at me like that, the pain of thinking about it is unbearable, so to those who say they're lonely, you're alone but not lonely*
