The Memories of A Fading Past

by Ren   May 9, 2006

Searching through the pictures,
Of a once young life,
I see my past,
Frozen in time...

Suddenly everything is different,
As if I have been torn,
Thrown into two separate worlds,
Starting from when I was born...

My eyes sparkled,
My smile revealed dimples,
It's so hard to try and see,
How this life was so simple...

Oh how I wish I could go back,
And undo a few lies,
I want to relive some moments,
And renew a few ties...

I fear the past,
And the future ahead,
I know one day I will marry,
And someday be dead...

Something just makes me wonder,
What time will soon show,
Cause you want what you want,
But you need what you know...

Times of the past,
And what soon will come,
Questions the minds,
Of all old and young...

With memories of then,
And what will soon be,
The pictures I see,
Will that little person really be me?
Or is it just the fading memories,
Of a forgotten past,
The days and the nights,
I always wish would last.
