As her breathing got fainter, the sirens got louder
closer and closer yet they came
until they reached her

waited for the report in the waiting room
three hours had passed and nothing still
the nurse came out
asked the savior to come into the hallway with her
he looked into the window
saw her on a respirator
cords attatched to nearly every part of her body
her face all bloody encrusted with tears
"Cops said it was another drinking accident. Good thing for her that no one else was involved in the wreck, she could have been facing serious penalties."
"Yeah, well thanks for updating me" he said in return
"This your girlfriend young man?"
"No it isn't, just a wreck i saw on my way to tow another vehicle."
"Oh, well good thing you got there in time, she could have been a gonner if it wasn't for you. But, i'll keep you updated."
"Thank-you Ma'am"
He hung his head low, started to cry
Watched as the lines slowly went across the board
glowing through all the darkness fading around him
morning had come
nurses were arriving
checking in on all of the patients
