Goodbye

by Jordan Smith   May 30, 2006

I've realized now in time, it's time for me to say goodbye. You've changed my life, but only in the worst ways.

Everyday I prayed that you would love me like you did when I was little, that you would hug me like you did when you were sad.

You use to listen to me, you use to laugh with me, what did I mess up in between those times?

I pray one day maybe God will give you the desire to love me because you want to not because it's the mother thing to do.

I want you to hug me and tell me I'm the best thing in your life, but I know that it's time for me to be wise and realize that it's not going to be like it was when I was little, and just say goodbye.

Oh sweetie that is so sad. At first I thought it was about a friend but the lines

to love me because you want to not because it's the mother thing to do.

    really hit hard.

Omg I know exactly how you feel. My mom treated me like a daughter the first 3 years of my life, but then my brother and sister came along and all I was, was a babysitter. She has been treating me this way for 11 years now, but she's trying to change, and all I can tell you is to believe, it can change, but only if you really truly want it too. If you want to, read my poem, "Moms", its alot like yours.
