I wonder if there's a heaven

I wonder if there's a heaven
Where everyone's at peace
I wonder if there's a sadness
If even at the least

I wonder if there's a difference
Between our heaven and hell
I wonder when we get there
Would we even be able to tell?

I wonder if we'll remember
Everyone we leave behind
I wonder if there's an image
Right at the back of our minds

And even though I wonder
It's something I can't conceive
It has become part of my life
To say heaven is make believe

I don't believe in a heaven
I don't believe in that peace
Because when our love ones die
All we can feel is grief

Haven't you ever wondered?
That they might feel the same
That they may live eternal life
Just crying out our names

I wonder what people think
I wonder how people feel
Can you honestly stop and say
That heaven is something real

If there was such a thing as heaven
I believe it's here on earth
I believe its the gift of life
and we arrived there at our birth

So I wonder if there's a heaven
Where everyone's at peace
Where there is no sadness
Not even at the least

    Very creative poem. I think we all ask ourselves that every now and then. I like the repition of the first and last stanza, definitely made it strong. Great stuff!

    It something I can't conceive
    [I think you were meant to say"It's"]
    That they might feel the same
    That they may live eternal life
    [Who are they? That left me a little puzzled?]
    I liked the ending.. I thought it was great. Again, This was a pretty good poem. I also liked how you repeated "I wonder..." Thought that was cool! Keep it up! 5/5
