Tears

by barbara   Jun 12, 2006

She smiles and hides away her fears
as she holds it all inside
at home she knows of only tears
from pain she can not hide

Gently they roll down her face
as she pretends to be happy
she stares blankly into space
dreaming of times with her family

A teenager is what for now she'll be
praying to be great one day
she cries because she can not see
a happier productive way

So tears roll like a stream
leaving a trail as they drop
she tries to understand what it all means
but its all so fast and won't stop

The things done to her
make the tears roll more
and tears make it seem a bit better
but the emotions hide behind another door

So tears are falling as she looks for support
without it they fall even more
she locks herself inside her heart
not wanting to see whats in store

So she lets out a few tears and lives a lie
drowning in her emotions and pain
so she curls in a ball and begins to cry
but she'll never be seen again
