The Wall Between Walls

by RainbowSlider   Jun 29, 2006

Dreamscapes into nightmares and the wonder of it all.
My best friend became my worse enemy behind the wall.
In my castle fortress I would drink in the mead hall.
Some day I hoped that the iron curtain would just fall.

Through lack of communication love lost its hold.
We were knights courageous and we were oh so bold.
But like an evil omen our straits were foretold.
Not even love can withstand ashes that are cold.

What once was a roaring flame became a dying ember.
Sadly I ponder the fate when I choose to remember.
Passion so hot turning into the hoarfrost December.
The death of love can become like a rotten timber.

When worlds collide even the innocent can get hurt.
Mudslinging and there is no end to all the dirt.
Shared victories can become lone strategies to flirt.
Tender mercies are cast a shadow and love is inert.

Where once stood a home becomes a wrecked house.
One can lose a lover and just have a spouse.
One can lose one's humanity and become a mouse.
One can lose one's dignity and feel like a louse.

I like this one, and can some-what relate in a way. I'm moving and won't see many people for a very long time, and a few are getting bitter for weird reasons...
Either way, I don't think I'm a huge fan of this particular rhyme sceme, then again I'm not used to it either
