Overdue

by dee   Jul 10, 2006

Where did you go,
I guess I'll never know.

How could you leave us all,
I always thought you stood so tall.

Parents, sisters, husband and children all gone,
I really will never know how you still go on.

You were my best friend,
till this day all i do is defend.

Everyone puts on a front,
saying they hate you so blunt.

Me though, I never could,
all I wish to see in you is the good.

I daydream about the possibilities of you coming back,
thinking everything might just come in tack.

It has been seven years now,
the thought of it makes us raise a brow.

If you came back today,
things may seem in disarray.

But I know deep down everyones still waiting for you,
for your, "I'm sorry, but back" thats so overdue.

This is about my half sister that "ran away" years ago and left her three kids and everyone else behind without an explanation.
