I wonder now if love is enough

I wonder now if love is enough
to combat the things that try
that tear apart my very ease
and make me want to give up and cry

I wonder now if love is enough
to forget that we never can see
that the face and embrace of my love
is far too distant from me

I wonder now if love is enough
to make me feel whole anymore
'cause although I'm with you now, sometimes
it feels no different than before

I wonder now if love is enough
to feed the hunger that lives
circumstances won't allow us to see
what could be, only the pain of what is

I wonder now if love is enough
but I really think I know the truth
for no matter how much emotion I feel
it isn't the same if I can't be with you

    I'm sorry, but I disagree.

    First off, I liked the rhyming scheme and you're a great poet. I'm judging off that and only that.

    I'm in a long distance relationship and have been for a year and almost four months. If you truly love the person, it doesn't matter... You're love will always be there touch or not. Just don't give up if it's distance.. It's worth it, trust me.

    Wow----this poem has such a depth to it! It is so powerful with your word choice and the rhyme,,,I also thought that repitition of the line ''I wonder now if love is enough'' made the poem better-------Great work---5/5
