At night i would prey,
for your health to improve,
Who was i kidding,
it was you i was about to lose,

But you couldn't go now,
i was sure i weren't ready,
You were so young,
beautiful, so amazingly pretty,

I smiled when i saw you,
although it broke my heart,
Lyeing on that horrid bed,
my whole world fell apart.

The moment i left you,
id just burst into tears,
This problem was among,
My worst of fears.

When i came to see you next,
I knew you were in pain,
You held my hand, gave me a chill
Your beautiful face had changed.

I knew what you wanted,
I then did nothing to hide,
The pain i felt, for your misery,
I just cried and cried.

You said it was for the best,
And you'd still be my best friend,
I couldn't bear this pain,
There was no amend.

I gave your head one last kiss,
As i made my ultimate wish,
I wish you'd never leave my side,
As i cried and turned of the switch.
