Love's Dangerous Course

by *Charisma*   Aug 24, 2006

He raced into the battle scene
To defend his one true love
And while running 'cross the bloody green
It was her he was thinking of

Her golden hair and fair skin
The way she smiled and spoke
Her figure beautiful and thin
Guided him through fog and smoke

When he thought he was defeat
A gleaming sword held above his heart
Death he was soon to meet
And from his love he'd forever depart

But there it was at perfect time
The thought of his lady fair
He knew that it would be a crime
To leave her standing there

He quickly dodged the deathly blow
And called a hurried retreat
Better to lose then have nothing to show
And his love to never meet

There he rode upon his horse
To meet his lady once again
His love had led a dangerous course
Showing he'd lost just to win
