Blue Angel

Blue Angel

A salted lake was made today,
When tears of love we're cried,
Wondering why he couldn't stay,
Or why our hearts are tried.

And now we feel like we may drown,
In the tears that keep on falling,
Sinking, further, deeper, down,
For our angel got his calling.

And in this frigid lake of tears,
Will always be the memory,
Of An Angel that liked "Blue" beers,
Who was as kind as one could be

So now we look within our past
Realizing it hurts to care,
When this love seems not to last,
But not have known is more unfair,

So with our tears we say good bye
To the patient, kind and gentle man
Who ascended into the sky,
But by our side he'll always stand.

To Our Caring father
...Our Thoughtful Friend,
...Our loving brother,
...Our Endless Angel

This poem is written for the funeral of my mom's bf who died this passing saturday.

Omg this is so sad.. I can tell how much you cared about this man. I loved the way it was written, with a sence of loss but love as well. Wonderful job, nothing could make this poem any better than it already it.
