The Living Nightmare

Haunting every feeling
Leaving cracks upon my heart
A tremor taking over me
And tearing me apart

The nightmare as I'm dreaming
Killing me each time I wake
A cut that bleeds a little more
With every breath I take

Like chains inside my prison
Or a noose upon my rope
Shredding every wish I've had
By tearing out my hope

The tears behind my smile
And the truth as I pretend
It's pain that I've kept hidden...
It's the death of my best friend

    I ALWAYS loved your writing! Girl you got talent...it seems so effortless!! Envy will kill many admirers! You should proud of your abilities my dear!!!

    This piece...a REAL thing that many of live through. Something MANY can relate to. The key I believe is to be able to write something that will touch people and you have that!
