With an awkward smile pressed to your lips,
You look at me with tears in your eyes,
And your sobs are the beats that make my heart skip,
As you whisper silently your lovers lullabies.

Your eyes of steel send a shiver down my spine,
As you shake your head at me and heavily sigh,
And your frustration on me is a clear sign,
To your long awaited good-bye.

The mascara runs down from my eyes,
As you turn from me and walk away,
The crimson regrets are coated in lies,
As my world continues to fall to pieces today.
