We'll never know anything
Because we never met
All the things we could be
I might as well forget

All the smiles we could share
And laugh until it's night
The tears we could bear
As we held each other tight

The memories we could have
If we even had a chance
The courage we could gain
To just go ahead and dance

The friendship that would bloom
Like a flower in the sun
The understanding we would hold
Because of that someone

Oh but we will never know these things
It's all really in my mind
Too bad it never happened
'Cause it seemed so right
