The Stars Beauty

The stars above shine so bright
And their glory far extends
They truly are my favorite sight
Of all the creation known to men

Since they are such a long way
We can only look and wonder
I wish that I could visit them
Instead of standing here under

But what a view I have to see
No special trip do I have to take
I merely wait for night to come
And in their beauty I escape

When the problems of the day
Seem to much for me to bear
I look up to the darkened sky
And comfort I can find there

Not too many things in life
Can take my breath away
Yet each and every night it's gone
When the stars come out to stay

    Wow I really do like this. I feel the same way every night... I was going to write a poem about it, but I wasnt sure exactly how to put those feelings on paper. You did a great job at it though! I love all of your poems, jpoet!
