A Distant Memory

by Robert Spence   Sep 27, 2006

I saw her standing there,
A beautiful sight I cant compare,
She knelt down and caressed her hair,
I was suddenly struck by a rush of air,

She gazed at me, into my heart,
I knew she would save me from the dark,
She held my gaze,
For what seemed like an eternity,

Now it all seems like a distant memory..

A crash, a bump, a hospital, pain,
My life as I knew it would never be the same,
Lifeless, blankness, on a colossal scale,
Nights of suffering, nights of hell,

I wake up in a harsh cold sweat,
Nights of wondering where she went,
She utters in the most soothing voice,
Dont worry, we will meet again.
