Soon

by Robert Spence   Sep 28, 2006

I know this isn't a love poem but i wanted to share it in a category where people would actually read and hopefully enjoy
----------------------------------------

A superior tunnel stretches up past the stars,
Beyond past, beyond present, and beyond future.
A frail woman, peaceful, her face worn with age, floats,
In an impossible calmness.

She mutters to herself repetitively,
Soon, Soon,
And she closes her eyes, raises her delicate head to the sun,
A tranquillity that seems out with anything.

As she reaches the top, a gentle breeze brushes past her silver hair,
A voice, a warm voice, full of peace and innocent purity calls to her,

Not yet, but soon, soon.

Robert, Diana was right very unique.

The wonderful way you versed such a beautiful thought was powerful and flowed well. Read and reread it.

    Very well done.

    Peace and happiness
