Rain like Roses

by Lithium   Oct 17, 2006

In the dark haunted night,
The ghost of St. Lucifer arises,
To take your life and leave it crisp,
Like the dry corpse you've become,

Block out the voices,
That were once your friends,
Drink the blood,
You once had lost,

Stitch up the gashes,
That run crimson red,
Remember the scars,
You put there with reason,

Wash out the eyes,
Deprived of sweet dreams,
Rest your head upon your pillow,
Sleep; now find your peace,

Isolated from the life around you,
A stranger in the world,
Non-existent a breath of air,
A waste of unwanted space,

A broken little girl,
Not worth the living,
Take leave from this place,
With your box of unfulfilled desires,

Hurt and alone, the pain twisted within,
Cutting through the guarded wall,
Breaking down the happiness,
That took so long to find,

The passion the romance,
The creative mind,
Have turned against her soul,
By the time she hasn't found,

Black roses now fall like rain from the sky,
To fill these rivers that run so deep,
Not on land but on her tender flesh,
These wrists will bleed again.
