Sweet Lullaby

Little girl looks so pale
Humming a sweet lullaby
Feels so lost and alone
Though the Angel is nearby

She misses her mom and dad
But she can see them there
She just wants a little hug
And her dad to strike her hair

But they can not touch her
And she does not know why
She sadly ask the Angel
"Why does my mommy cry"?

"Because the time has come
For you to come home with me
We have to follow the light
Right over there, do you see"?

"My mom told me about heaven
Is it really better then Candyland?
And if I get a little scared
Do you promise to hold my hand"?

The Angels smiles at her
"I promise my little girl
I will take you to a place
Better than this world"

The doctor comes in the room
her parents kisses her forehead
They say their last words
And kneel beside her bed

She now walks with the Angel
As she whispers goodbye
She knows she will be okay
As mom and dad hums her lullaby
