Song of the Dead

by x.Athame.x   Nov 6, 2006

Moon bright and full, over misty sky
Wolves howl in the distance, not shy
Sneaking ivy tendrils curl and grow
Names on the graves no longer show
Bats are about, deep into the night
Owls now take off, in silent flight
Listen now carefully, can you hear?
Sad, solemn. Enough to bring a tear
Shh, Shh, Now do you hear it?
The twisted, beautiful music it emits?
The haunting melodies come now
Into your mind, music, will you allow?
All illusions should now be shed
Shh, Shh, listen; The Song of the Dead.
