Over A Year Now...

It is been over a year now
But it seems that only yesterday,
I was in the pleasure of your company
Fooling around and laughing at ridiculous things

But it is over a year now
And it still appears as an unbearable nightmare,
Even now, I allay myself with lies that I would wake up
And you caring, joyful face I will see

Although it is over a year now
I can only whisper you name in the blackness of the night,
No longer am I the passionate person I used to be
Your fatality caused me a dreadful heartache

Despite of it being over a year now
My heart breaks every time I think about you,
I want to hear your voice for one last time
That voice of yours that comforted me through the years..

My heart is drowning in the misery of your death
Sorrow has wrapped its arms around my heart,
It is hugging it tightly, not wanting to let it go,
However, it is over a year now
