Heading for the ground

We love each other
and then we don't
we say break up
but we wont

we pull each other
down too low
and we let all
our worst sides show

we say mean things
we swore we meant
then take it back
but leave the dents

we scream, we yell
then talk it out
we're stuck with tears
and filled with doubt

we laugh and smile
but not for long
because with us
something is wrong

it is destined
and it is true
something's pulling
me from you

so many tears
so many fights
so many reasons
we are not right

if we want to be happy
we need a new start
if we don't want to cry
we should try things apart

together's not the remedy
despite its pleasing sound
together is a waterfall,
we're heading for the ground
