The Birds, the Poem, and the Cup of Tea

by Goran Rahim   Nov 18, 2006

Tonight,
Sitting down all alone,
The birds of my feelings
Flew into your sky.
I was awake,
As an incomplete poem
Carelessly,
Knocked on the door of my thoughts.
Making me sleepless.
Still, the birds were not back.
The poem was still incomplete.
When suddenly,
My cup of tea
Fell over the poem.
It washed away the thoughts.
And,
Destroyed the poem.
The birds got lost in your sky
Never found there way home.
Now alone,
Even not the cup of tea.
Not anymore !!!
Are the birds still alive?
I am not sure.
