Lonely Love

I fell within your beauty's grasp and so it pulled me in
And ne'er do I wish to ever leave it again
Comfort and strength I find when I search into your soul
And I want to be the part of you that finally makes you whole.
I've tossed aside my cautiousness and need to feel secure
Just to hold you for a moment, and pray, forever more
For tomorrow wouldn't be as bright or seem that it held hope
If I knew I'd wake up lonely, and with it always cope.
Loneliness is bitter, and it's a taste I cannot like
But empty love is worthless, and isn't worth the fight.
So if you love me, take me, tell me all that is true,
But don't leave me lonely love, if you don't love me too.

    Cute poem.. good rhyme.. okay flow.. its a good poem just not my favorite.. i couldnt get into this as much as the others

    Such deep and meaningful words. So true...

    This poem isn't like your other poems and while the flow seemed a bit stilted at times, it was still easy to read and easy to find a rhythem, which is one of the first things i look for when reading a poem.
    This seemed like a very deep love poem with some very well thought out words.
    Well thats how i interpreted it (sp?) (another word i can never spell =)
    So although it's not like your other work, i really enjoyed reading this one.
