How Do You Know?

by *Charisma*   Dec 3, 2006

For once I wish that love would leave a happy ending
Instead of empty wishes, in this message that I'm sending.
I long to know the depth that true love holds in store
But a drop in the bucket, leaves me thirsting for more.
Still too young to take a sip, much less drink a cup,
I sit in the window, and hope things will look up.
I don't expect a fairytale, but something would be nice
Anything to show me that love is worth the price.
For I know you pay your heart, time, and your soul
To unite with someone else, and two halves make a whole
But what proof is there that things will work out
This time I have seeps with doubt
Questions keep on growing, and answers come in pairs
Opinions and facts mix and mingle in the air.
And so in the end, I think it's all a leap of faith.
Hoping your choice will meet you all the way.
All you can do is pray you know them well
Time wasn't wasted and truth is all you tell
You wish that what you see is what you will get
But you don't really know until it comes down to it.
So fairytale or drama, it's never quite for sure,
Just keep wishing that their love is true and pure.

Way to go, This is it. A very good write. Loved the depth you put in this.

Outside of these two lines, the flow was great.
"But what proof is there that things will work out
This time I have only allows room for more doubt."

Outstanding imagery. You should be proud of this, Charisma. [By the way, what is your real name].

    Keep it up, my friend.
