Daddy, I Love You

by x.Athame.x   Dec 15, 2006

Purple and blue marks on skin
Bruises outside and within
She cries; knows she cannot win
Hurt by someone she called kin

Red streaks on her fragile wrist
She rocks to and fro in the dark
Tears dripping on the red wounds
Where his nails left their mark

She screams, "Why Daddy, why?"
"Hush hush now, you musn't cry"
"I don't mean to" "Thats a lie!"
"Whatever, I'm leaving, goodbye"

He left her for then, would be back
No matter how much she ever cried
He wouldn't stop wounding her
'Til finally, he went too far, she died

He thought she would not depart
She finally just died of broken heart
As a Dad he never, ever did his part
All he ever did was tear them apart

Seems like maybe she trusted to much
She just had no clue what to do
He went too far, was just too drunk
But her last words; "Daddy, I love you"

**Needs editing, I'm going to come back to it later and work on that. But... comments?

This could also come under the dark catagory in a way..
It's very well written, you managed to get the message across and the raw emotion is spectacular!
