Love Still Lives

by *Charisma*   Jan 4, 2007

For a time I thought love was lost
Powerless, pointless, not worth the cost
Kicked at my lowest, pushed into ground
With hurt like that, why fool around?
But you changed my viewpoints, guided my eyes
Led me away from my own heart's demise
Crevices in my heart are trickling light
Hopes are trying to again take flight
Warmth is filling my soul so cold
Hate no longer has it's hold

Where would I be if not for you?
Still walking the street of the lonely and used.
I'm out of the pity, left all nightmares
With my reason to hope, believe love does care
You've taken me farther from a pain that kills
And showed me places where love lives still
