Reunited

by The Queen of Spades   Jan 13, 2007

I remember that day so long ago
Four years--or five?--I can't even remember
But that kiss that keeps me locked to you
Is a memory that lingers forever

And when I see you walking down that path
Your body, glistening in the golden sun
My breath is caught, I can't look away
And it feels like you're the one

But I cannot delude myself with memories
Reminiscing about your lips pressed against mine
Because our love is unsafe and so forbidden
And will not grow better with time

So I'll keep staring at you, staring at me
And dream about you from afar
As a friend, a companion, a dream, a lover
Remembering you as the most beautiful scar

This was a very beautiful composition. The words seemed like whispers on the wind. I enjoyed it very much. 5/5
