A Walk of Unrequited Love

by The Queen of Spades   Jan 15, 2007

Down the concreate path I venture
Under the amiable, embracing sun
Warm rays kiss my shoulders
As I imagine the far-fetched to come

My aim appears as your home
But your heart is my destination
Emerald foliage leads me closer
Soft sounds pushing me where I came from

Similar to your presence inside myself
A blue breeze encircles me
At last the short-awaited time has come
Around the corner, junipers come peeking

Luscious flowers greet my eyes
Telling me I have arrived
I pause at your peach-colored fortress
Envisioning you inside

A subtle wind strokes me softly
The way your words caress my soul
But the golden daylight slips away
Abruptly, my thoughts turns cold

Wistfully I walk away
Though the pastel shadows the sun has cast
Suddenly I'm back where I commenced
Away from you, too fast

A chilling wind engulfs me
Frostily shaking my desires apart
Leaving me wondering why your domain is so close
But your love is just so far
