I'll save you bill

by Independence Forever   Jan 16, 2007

We open fire on our foe
all that happens is full of woe

my friend bill was shot in the chest
he may not survive, i'll do my best

the enemy is around us, no place to retreat
my buddy is dying he's losing his heart's beat

"hang in there bill!" i yell as i shoot
the enemy won't leave only victory will suit

my men are cut off there will be no aid
my friend billism dying but i'm glad i stayed

finally the enemy falls back
i look for a health kit in my sack

but no matter how fast i was it is too late
my friend bill is dead he has marched through heaven's gate

when the war is over i'll take bill home
i'll walk up to his mom and i'll recite this poem

but bill is with me wherever i go
when we\'ll meet again, i'll never know
