Patience

by IdTakeABulletForYou   Jan 17, 2007

The wind whispers, calmly and softly
the news of your leave has reached me
you're gone, it says. quiet. and then the wind leaves
all of a sudden it returns to me

nobody wants you because you are cold
you've got to relinquish your soul for the world
replenish your thirst by drinking from the spring
that will bring you the youth that you have been wanting
you can't get the bliss of a star that reached fame
with the ease of someone born with ability
you must carve clean your name in the stone of the past
so the future may never forget your own path
and you can't just sit and pretend you're no good
when you set yourself up to not be what you should
you're wanted when perfect, but someone will see
the perfect inside where outside may not be
patience, my dear, the wind whispers
patience is the key
for if you own patience
you can open the door to immortality

and i've recieved news that you're gone
i figure that it's been that way all along
and i'll never shed a tear from these hurt eyes
cause someday love will come and you will beg for mine
