I know I'd be a better person now.
If I could fly to the sky above me
I hope I'd see you again some how

Only God knows how I miss you
and He knows the pain that I feel.
When I heard that you were gone
I never felt a bruise so blue and real.

I knew that if He loved me so
I wouldn't cry over you leaving me.
So I wiped my eyes dry on my face
so the tears won't fall on my cheek.

It was hard but I made it through
because I know you're proud of me.
I know that you think I forget
but I can't forget what you made me be.

You made me a loving child
that grew to learn from their mistakes.
You taught me right from wrong
and took me fishing in the lakes.

I'll never forget our memories
that I hold so dear to my heart.
You took me to the park to play
and we stayed out until it was dark.

Now I think I wish I could have
said thank you; I love you; I miss you.
Now you're long gone from this world
you're still in my soul it's true.

I hope you hear what I'm saying
and take it to heaven with your grace.
