The Rest of My Life

by ShootingStar179   Jan 20, 2007

I long for the first day of the rest of my life,
There will be true love, true strife,
I am completely ready for the rest of my life.

So when my life seems to crumble,
When I try to get up and all I do is stumble,
All my words of importance come out a mumble.

The world will spit in my face,
I will feel like a total disgrace,
My body will feel as fragile as lace.

I know in the end I will stand tall,
For I have my God after all,
And He will never let me fall.

Really liked this poem. It was good that you could get the 3 lines to all rhyme. I think we all need abit of faith in life. If not through religion in ourselves. Great job at this poem.
