It's the Fear

It's the fear of letting go
Making me grip so tight.
It's the fear of losing you
Keeping me up at night.

The chance that maybe
Your face I will not see,
Has me clinging to your soul
So as you're not set free.

I don't think tomorrow
Is worth fighting for today,
If I know I'll be without
The one I love's sweet face.

You are my entire world.
It's my fault I'm in so deep.
Now, it's like a game
And I'm playing it for keeps.

Love is worth everything.
It's everything I need.
The more I am around you
The more hunger I must feed.

See, that's why you can't go.
You're a craving I must have.
And if I let you go,
Would you really come back?

So, it's the fear of losing you
Keeping me up at night.
It's the fear of letting go
Making me grip so tight.

    Ok on my last poem...I wrote from the perspective of my mom, lol. She was talking to me about expanding my horizons as far as what kind of poems I write and so instead of a dark one I did this one. Lol! :) Hope you liked it!
