Stranded Delusions

by ben thompson   Jan 25, 2007

Forward I plunge into the heat.
No food now in nearly a week.
Washed up on this deserted place.
No life here, not a human face.

I look around but nothing to see.
But sand, water and a couple trees.
Why did God send me here.
As I sit down I shed a tear.

Will I ever see loved ones again.
Or will I die when darkness sets in.
As I search the island time flies by.
Now way out, the signs don't lie.

I see colors greens and reds.
Pain forgotten, delusion filled head.
As I dance in the mosquito filled gloom.
We howl by the light of the moon.
