Rise from the ashes

by Independence Forever   Feb 2, 2007

Out of the ashes of lexington's snare
we came on top when washington crossed the delaware

we were surrounded a second time
then francis scott keys wrote his familliar rhyme

"oh say can you see....."
even he knew what one day would be

we fought each other in the civil war
but then Grant won appomattox we settled the score

the spanish threw their empire\'s might
but at san jaun hill, we won the fight

they caught us with out pants down in both great wars
but by the end we inflicted many german sores

korea, vietnam, we answered the call
it was the right thing to do, to give it our all

they tried it again in september of 01'
the world trade center fell but we soon won

we will fight on like a bulldog with rattled cage
we will prove to the terrorists that it is not a stage

remember the alamo
remember fort sumter
remember the maine

but most of all....remember the fallen

rise from the ashes o america the great
we have only just begun, our united state
