Finding Wisdom

by ben thompson   Feb 3, 2007

Wisdom comes in many forms,
Sometimes from a unexpected face.
The old man in the alley.
He shares wisdom from his waste.

He's lived many long years,
seen and done many things.
Was married with a job before.
Had a wife, he was a king.

Now he searches the garbage,
To find a rotten meal.
So tired of this old world,
He no longer wants to feel.

Everything is gone now,
Even his loving wife.
The cancer came and got her,
Shattered his fragile life.

So if he's full of wisdom,
why is he on the street?
No home to call his own
He bares blisters on his feet.

He owns no great wisdom.
just an example of mistakes.
Let's learn from his broken life,
Cause in our reality, it may not be too late.
