Who does she think she is,
To steal your heart away?
You were in the palm of my hand
Seems like yesterday.

I lost my voice for a moment
And lost my chance forever.
Daydreams are the only time
When we'll be together.

It's not fair on my heart,
Or on these tear-stained eyes.
If you would leave, I'd be okay
But I can see you day and night.

I'll watch a love meant for us
Grow with someone else.
I'll put my feelings back upon
Their too familiar shelf.

Time heals too slow for me.
Feels like I'm living in the past.
I'm the one who loved you first.
But she'll love you last.

    Your words are beautiful. I'm shocked that every poem I open of yours I fall in love with it. That doesnt happen to often for me. i dont add everyone to my favorites but u are a deffinite. Your work leaves me wanting to read them all which would take a while but would b time well spent.
